Benjamin Thomas Janzen

Benjamin is now 3 1/2 years old and everything a little boy should be. Fun, curious, loveable, energetic, and much more! He continues to amaze me with his comments and curiousity of the world around him. One day his favorite thing will be playing with a new airplane, the next a tractor. His newest adventure though is firefighting. Yep you heard right...not a farmer, but a firefighter. He recently asked if he could take some of his own money out of his piggy bank to go to WalMart and buy something. We agreed and so a couple days ago we headed to York. His original plan was to purchase a plastic trumpet that you could play with in the bathtub that would blow bubbles. However after looking at it every time we go to Wally world, this time they didn't have ANY! He was a bit disappointed, however I was able to convince him to look for something else. And this is what he came up with -

we now have our very own firefighter in the family!

Also, last night we had a nice evening out at Jay Dee's parents farm with a BBQ and then the highlight of the evening was watching Ben ride a little 70 three-wheeler that Jay Dee rode when he was little. Ben was so excited he couldn't hardly eat! I was hoping this event wouldn't take place until he was 5 or 6, but I think Daddy won.

I think my little boy is growing up faster than I'd like. Here is also a little video clip of him. Not sure if you can see the excitement on his face or not, but it was there!
